It majors on the 7 Motivational gifts as found in Romans 12. Taking each one as a character study it reveals the strengths and weaknesses associated with each motivation, and how people of differing motivational gifts could find themselves relating to each other.
Often in the past, identity has been confused with charismatic spiritual gifts or ministry title. This book seeks to get the heart of who you are, using Biblical teaching and plenty of the author's own observations having taught this subject over many years.
This book is written in a direct, practical and easy-to-read style which necessarily misses out some of the deeper insights you will gain if you spend a weekend teaching retreat with the Northumbria Community. That said, it's probably the most comprehensive and up to date work on the subject, and brings much needed understanding to this area of study.
