Chinks
Helen Wilkinson
One boy's search for a Dad and a dog. The brand new, eagerly awaited title from Helen Wilkinson, author of Peter's Daughter

If you're going to read my story, you've got to promise that you won't laugh, and won't feel sorry for me. Here goes, I don't have a Dad. And I don't mean that I had a Dad but he's divorced or died, or that I don't know who he is, I actually don't have one. Are you laughing? Good. But I've found a dog. It's just that Mum doesn't know yet.

From the Author
I wanted to write a book for kids about real kids, tackling contemporary issues in a really fun way. And then my own dog came into it, and almost took over!

About the Author
Helen is the author of DYING TO LIVE, the biography of Fran Burke, and the acclaimed best-seller PETERS DAUGHTER. She was born in 1962, educated in Warwick and at London University, and now lives in Shrewsbury with her husband and daughter.
