This teaching resource is designed to accompany the gift book, The Life of Jesus illustrated by talented artist Paul Forsey. A resource CD is also available, containing high-quality images of the artwork used and additional teaching resources.

The material is organised under three sections:

Complementary narratives - providing a continuous story as a complement to the biblical text of the accompanying illustrated book;:

Accompanying notes - designed to help teachers flesh out the background to the story, and to stimulate the child's own response to the symbolism and mystery of the events; :

Lesson planning guides - divided between Lower and Upper Key Stage Two to help pupils learn about the events of Jesus' life and their religious significance, and reflect on their own experiences in the light of what they have learned. Assessment questions, drawn from the QCA Level Descriptions for RE, are provided at the end of each unit to enable teachers to make assessments of pupils' learning.
