The "NRSV" is the translation most often used for study and teaching, as well as the lectionary chosen/recommended for reading in churches. It is based on improved access to scrolls and manuscripts, and reflects advances in scholarship. It uses gender-neutral language as far as possible. It has centre-column cross-references throughout. The Anglicized edition uses British spelling, grammar and phrasing. The sub-headings make it easier to read.
